Twilight

We've hardly seen Twilight: A Novel, by Stephenie Meyer, on the shelf at all this Fall -- someone's always reading it. Not your average vampire story, Twilight blends passion, suspense, and school into a feverish stew that will have you hanging on every word. This, my friends, is a whole new take on what can happen when there's a new girl in a small town high school.

If you've read Twilight, hit the comment button and register your thoughts.

Twilight is one of the best books that i've ever read. Seriously. You get really wraped up in it-I stayed up all night just to finish it. It sounds cheezy when you read a description, but it's really the opposite. If you liked this book, I also recomend Blue Bloods.

I was turned on to Twilight last school year by one of our frequent library users. I immediately fell in love and have since developed an obsession along with other students that have read Twilight and New Moon. I even drove more then 10 hours to Cincinnati, OH from La Crosse, WI to see Stephenie Meyer speak. The same student that turned me on to Twilight also convinced her mom to read it. They are going to Nashville, TN to meet Meyer. We have two copies of Twilight and it is never on the shelf right now I think there are even five holds on it! I love these books for getting a group a students so excited about reading that they are creating t-shirts and traveling across country with their mom!! Happy reading!

Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse are my favourite books. They are well written intriguing and there's always some sort of problem, usually involving evil revenge-seeking vampires. @ my library, its considered very good luck to find one of the Twilight books on the shelf. I took my book to school one day to read in English and while i was 'resting my eyes' my friend started to read it and she bought the books that weekend and absolutely loves them.
I can't wait for the 4th and 5th and the movie to come out. However i don't think the movie could ever really portray the feeling of the books.

I just finished the Twilight series today. I just about cried when I did. I'm not the one to re read books, but I really think I am going to have to. These book were fascinating. I have never read anything like it in my life. I love Edward, his character is amazing and Bella!! I really wish that she could keep going on and making stories about them. The books were so addicting I would stay up tell around 3 or 4 in the morning just to read them. Then when I finally did fall a sleep, I had dreams about the book. It's flipping awesome.

OH WOW! Twilight........I just get chills thinking about it!(good chills) Meyer is an awesome author! She makes fantasy seem so real. The Books are super AMAZING! Even if you arent a reader you get hooked right away. Ive had many sleepless nights because of them. I think even though your not bella, you still fall into that pillowed net of lala land when your reading about edward, because you fall in love with him also(even tho you might not want to admit it). The books make you want edward and bella to be real. I think every teenage girl who reads the series wants a vampire or warewolf boyfriend now lol. I cried when he left her in the seccond book and i cried when the series was over, how could you not? Meyer makes you belive even the most odd creatures can have such a sweet personality and fall in love. I mean come on, who ever fantasized about hott vampires or adorable wolfs before these books came out? I think almost everyone can agree when i say that the twilight series is 2 thumbs up and 10 out of five stars. :D

I am probably one of the only people I know that severely dislikes Twilight. While the plot is very original and interesting, I found Stephanie Meyer's writing overly flowery. After awhile I got tired of "Edward's face this" and "Edward's face that." I also felt little to no chemistry between the main characters, which is essential to a romance novel. In all, I'd say Twilight is an average book that has been a victim of too much hype.

I too think that Twilight series to be less than average, which got better due to the hype generated around it. Stephenie Meyer's language is too flowery, describing things more than necessary. Sure, girls will love reading such a novel.
In all, the series is poorly researched stuff with many loopholes, leaving many things undefined.

Twilight is all about a shallow, moron teenage girl who cant see beyond the physical beauty of things and her own happiness. She is materialistic and with an obsession with being immortal and superhuman. And yes, Edward... he is really a vampire with a stone cold heart. He is no where near a champion romantic. But the only character i could connect to was Jacob. I think everyone will agree that his character worthy of our admiration and sadly... our sympathies. Throughout the series, he made innumerable sacrifices for Bella, but in return she could give only her pathetic apologies and her callousness...

Whatever, the series is too over-rated. The story nothing original either. Ridiculous too, maybe not, a teenage girl falling in love with two persons at the same time... her excuse: "I love you more than him"... just plain hilarious and pathetic!!

To say this series to be one of the greats is like undermining the greatness of the novels, that are truly great...
